Youth Leadership Network

The Memphis Dream Center Youth Leadership Program creates environments for children and their families to build spiritual, academic, leadership and relational skills. It is our goal to overcome the forces of poverty and see our students become caring, successful and responsible community members who transform their neighborhoods into places where success becomes the norm and families prosper.

Volunteer opportunities occur each January and August. Due to the nature of the Youth Leadership Program, all volunteers must complete a thorough background check, screening and interview process, and be invited to join the team.

Intent to apply public notice:

It is our intent to apply for the 2019 21st Century Learning Center Grant for our Youth Leadership Program. According to the US Department of Education, "This program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children."If you have any questions or concerns please email
